In terms of companies currently making electronic macro stacking rails, this very small number of companies should be prepared to experience some disruption this year (2017), with the introduction of a brand new DIY macro stacking rail kit by MJKZZ. This is a piece of DIY kit that provides everything required to buy a base THK KR2001 rail and to DIY it up into a fully-fledged, class-leading electronic macro focus-stacking rail, all at about half the total cost of the current class leader.

In summary, it’s really very good, and almost exactly what the vast majority of macro shooters want. I highly recommend it, but don’t be afraid to further customise it to make it suit you even better.
